Meets first Thursday of every month. 2-3pm. Topics include Antiques, Archaeology, Architecture, Genealogy, History, Treasure Hunting and anything else local Mississippi history.
This department may be one of the area’s best-kept secrets. It is a Hybrid agency, part county department charged with the responsibility of storing and managing public records and part not-for-profit 503-c which maintains a treasure trove of donated historical research and artifacts. In years past this organization was staffed mainly with volunteers, but now operates with a small 3-person county staff.
